Privacy policy

What we collect when you use this site, why, and who we share it with. Plainly, since most privacy policies are not written to be read.

This policy covers startupsnofilter.com, operated by Solomon Wiesen (“we”). You do not need an account to read this site.

What we collect.

• Information you submit: your name, email address and anything you type into a contact form. If you submit a financing request form, also your business name, phone number and business details such as time in business, monthly revenue, industry and the amount you are seeking.
• Automatically collected data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site and approximate location, collected through server logs and cookies.
• Calculator inputs: numbers you enter into our calculators are processed in your browser. We do not store them unless you send them to us through a form.

How we use it.

• To respond to you, and to connect you with financing providers when you ask us to.
• To operate, secure and improve the site and measure which content is useful.
• To keep records of consent and meet legal obligations.

Contact form data. If you submit a general contact form, we use your information only to respond to you. We do not add form submissions to a marketing list without your separate, explicit opt-in.

Financing requests. If you submit a financing request through a form on this site and give your consent, the information you enter is shared with one or more financing providers so they can contact you about offers. They handle that information under their own privacy policies. We may be paid when that happens, as described in our advertiser disclosure. Submitting such a form is optional.

Who else receives data. Service providers that run this site for us, such as hosting, form and email tools, process data on our behalf. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.

Selling and sharing. We do not sell your information for money. Passing a financing request to a provider that may pay us can count as a “sale” or “sharing” under some state laws. You can opt out of future sharing through our contact page.

Cookies, analytics and advertising. This site uses cookies for display advertising, including Google AdSense, and, where present, for embedded third-party tools such as comments or social sharing. Advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and manage ad personalization in your Google account settings. Doing so may affect how some features work. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. We use Google Search Console to see how the site appears in Google search results; it reports aggregated search data and does not place cookies on your device.

Retention. We keep form submissions and consent records for as long as we need them to respond, document consent and handle disputes, up to five years, and then delete them.

Security. We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, but no system is fully secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop sharing it, through our contact page. Depending on where you live, including California and other states with privacy laws, you may have additional rights, and we will not treat you differently for using them. A provider that already received your request must be contacted directly to delete its copy.

Business use only. This site is intended for business owners seeking information about business financing. It is not directed to anyone under 18.

Where data is processed. We use service providers in the United States and other countries, so your information may be processed outside the place where you live.

Third-party links. We link out to lenders, tools and other resources. Once you leave this site, their privacy policy applies, not ours.

Changes. We update this policy when our practices change and post the new effective date here.
